How do you build a brand that provides in person services during a pandemic that doesn't allow for this?
BOXING WITH LOVE
Boxing with Love is a gym owned and operated by professional fighter and prior Team USA member Alex Love, located just south of Denver, CO. Her goal is to provide all members with a fundamental base of legitimate boxing skills, while fostering an appreciation and passion for the sport of boxing
Alex came to us in 2019, looking to launch a brand she had been dreaming of. She envisioned a bold fitness brand that represented who she was as a person, and as a coach.
There were 3 key things she wanted to incorporate into her identity....
We initially developed a multifaceted brand to represent her as a professional boxer, a trainer, a gym, as well as a potential future nonprofit. However, we realized there were two issues that needed to be addressed.
The first issue was that her brand was trying to do too many things. Alex was adamant these goals were all important to her, but soon began to recognize that prioritizing these goals would actually streamline her business and help her achieve them faster.
The second issue was the arrival of the pandemic colliding with a business that revolves around physical contact. In order to survive, Boxing with Love pivoted to offer digital resources. This however, added to the spider web of offerings/goals Alex was juggling.
All of these challenges forced Alex to clarify her goals, and with this newfound clarity, we decided that despite the brand still being young, a brand refresh was needed to breathe new life into her main mission being offering boxing training to people of any skill level, providing a fun way to get/stay in shape or an even better way to learn the art of boxing and truly hone one’s skills.
A new brand image and website has helped to double her student list within 2 months.
